孟庆凯，吉林省白山市人，1982年考入东北师范大学美术学院油画专业，1986年毕业留校任教，现为该院水彩系副教授、硕士生导师。中国美协会员，吉林省美术家协会水彩艺委会委员。系中国书画艺术委员会会员、黑龙江省美术家协会会员、鹤岗市艺术教学研讨 会理事、鹤岗市教育零碎 美术协会副主席、鹤岗市群英画会会长。从事教育工作以来，不断 努力 于美术教育事业，为国家培养了大批美术人才，并被省教育学院授予“黑龙江省中学美术教学能手”称号，连续5 年参加局教委、局高中部美术特永生 招生工作，并任美术专业考官，03年在市第四届教师基本功考核中获初中组绘画素描第一位 。
从教二十余年，撰写了《美术第二课堂教学初探》、《怎样培养先生 的美术特长》、《浅谈美术素质教育》、《办好美术第二课堂，培养社会需求 的特永生 》、《标志设计》说课等教研论文均被国家、省、市评为1 、二、三等奖，并有创作作品在国家、省级美术馆展出并收藏。在工作之余，还进行了大量的艺术创作，取得了优良 成绩。1985年油画创作作品《美丽的家园》在黑龙江省首届青年美术书法作品展获优秀作品奖；1986年作品《走向将来 》在黑龙江省第二届青年美术作品展展出；作者多从事水彩人物画、风景画创作，常参与中外水彩画展览，并多次获奖。《白灰窑》入选第5 届中国水彩画粉画展，《黑哥儿们》获第六届中国水彩画粉画展银奖，《乡雪》入选第七届中国水彩画粉画展，《小憩》获中国首届水彩画粉画展优秀作品奖，《白山人家》获中国首届水彩画粉画展铜奖。全国美术作品展览－吉林展区（纪念毛泽东同志《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》发表60周年）作品《二憨》获吉林省金奖、国家优秀作品奖，并参选中国百年水彩画粉画展。
