王复祥早年毕业于鲁迅美术学院，坎坷的人生之路磨炼了他外柔内刚的个性，讴歌时代、扬善抑恶成为他终身 创作的主旨 。他热恋民族传统绘画，在从事漫画创作的几十年中从未放弃对中国画的思考和研习，我们从他那刚劲线条、深邃意境、风发性灵的漫画作品中，可以领略到中国画的意境和笔墨情趣。

他的画，与其说是精心描绘，莫如说是真情的流露。在他以漫画针砭社会时弊的同时，本身 灵魂也得到净化;在鞭挞社会上假、恶、丑的同时，真、善、美就得到了张扬。

作为中国美术家协会漫画艺委会主任、北京市美术家协会主席，他非常关注美术事业的发展和人才的成长。他总是对那些具有创新精神、富有个性的作者和作品给予热情肯定，并加以推广，发扬光大。

Graduated from Lu Xun Art College in 1951, he has been the beauty editor of Northeast Pictorial, Beijing Daily, Qinghai Daily and Qinghai Lake Literature Monthly. He is the executive vice-chairman of Qinghai Association of Fine Arts, the editor-in-chief of Beijing Evening News and the director of Fine Arts Photography Department, and the editor-in-chief of China Cartoon. He was Vice-Chairman of Beijing Municipal Literary Federation, Chairman of Beijing Artists Association and Director of China Artists Association. His works include Midnight Night Song, Decades Like a Day, and Account Reporting. Publishing has "Wang Fuyang Cartoon Selection", "Chinese Comic Book Series Wang Fuyang Volume", "Manners Cartoon", "Cartoon of Chinese Emperor Grand View" and so on.

Wang Fuxiang graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in his early years. His rough life tempered his soft and rigid personality. The purpose of his life was to eulogize the times and to promote good and restrain evil. He is passionate about traditional national painting, and has never given up thinking and studying Chinese painting in the decades of caricature creation. We can appreciate the artistic conception and ink taste of Chinese painting from his vigorous lines, profound artistic conception and spiritual caricature works.

His paintings are not so much elaborate as revealing the truth. While he criticizes the social maladies with cartoons, his soul is purified; while he criticizes the false, evil and ugly in society, truth, goodness and beauty are publicized.

As the director of Comic Arts Committee of China Artists Association and chairman of Beijing Artists Association, he pays great attention to the development of art cause and the growth of talents. He always gives enthusiastic affirmation to those writers and works with innovative spirit and rich personality, and promotes them and carries them forward.
