胡国瑞，浙江缙云人。擅长艺术设计、绘画创作及美术教育。1960年入南艺附中，1963年进南京艺术学院本科，1978年攻读南艺美术系研讨 生，毕业后留校任教。历任设计艺术系副主任、学报《艺苑》副主编、硕士研讨 生导师、教授。作品漆画《养鸡女》在1986年全国漆画展获工艺奖。出版连环画、年画多种及《胡国瑞中国画》专集。
