广西桂林人。擅长版画、油画、水彩画。1963年毕业于广西艺术学院美术系版画专业。后在广西省文联广西民间美术采风队，广西博物馆，广西美术展览办公室工作。1979年后任广西艺术学院讲师。副系主任、教授。水印木刻《妈妈的希望 》、《苹果熟了》、《瑶家的花裙》、《半个月亮爬上来》、《故乡的河—漓江》等多次参加全国或省展并获奖。论文有《中国的水印木刻》、《民族特色与世界性——浅论水印木刻的民族风格》。
