1954年出生，毕业于东南 民族学院美术系油画专业，中国美术家协会理事，中国油画学会理事。师从朱乃正先生，现任甘肃省美术家协会常务副主席。
1988年油画作品《山里人的吉日》入选由中国美协、中国油画学会主办的“首届中国油画展”。
1997年油画作品《贺兰山春雪》、《先人 留给的思考》、《暖冬》入选由中国美协主办的“第十二届全国新人新做美 展”。1997年油画作品《贺兰山春雪》荣获“当代中国青年书画展”二等奖。
1999年油画作品《有朋自远方来》荣获“中国当代艺术大展”铜奖。
1998年油画作品《祁连高秋》入选由中国美协、中国油画学会主办的“时代风采??全国写生画展。
