郑工，1956年3月出生于福建省福州市，美术学博士（并有博士后工作经历），中国艺术研讨 院研讨 员、博士生导师，美术研讨 所副所长、中国艺术研讨 院美术研讨 所学术委员会委员、《美术观察》杂志编委。掌管 或参与国家艺术科学“十5 ”重点规划项目及文明 部项目、国家哲学社会科学“八5 ”规划项目、北京市哲学社会科学“十5 ”规划项目等。
1978年至1982年福建师范大学艺术系美术专业本科毕业，1982年至1987年福建师范大学美术系助教，1988年至1991福建师范大学美术系讲师，1991年至1992年中国艺术研讨 院硕士研讨 生课程结业，1993年至1997年福建师范大学美术系副教授，1997年至2000年中国艺术研讨 院博士研讨 生毕业，2000年至2003年中国艺术研讨 院美术研讨 所副研讨 员。
