1924年毕业在江苏省立第六师范美术系毕业后回家乡任教，后到上海新华艺术专科学校学习绘画。

1930-1932年参加江苏甪直唐塑罗汉修复工作。

1933年考入巴黎高等美术学校。曾任地方 美术学院教授、雕塑系主任，全国城市雕塑艺术委员会委员，中国美术家协会理事。

 《深思》获1943年巴黎春季沙龙金质奖章；《母亲》为巴黎市政府收藏；圆雕《轰炸》为法国古代 美术

馆收藏。

1952年参加天安门广场人民英雄纪念碑浮雕创作，完成大型浮雕《5 ·四运动》、《毛主席胸像》等

 Yaotian Friends (1901-1986), male, formerly known as Yaoting Friends, Shunqing, is good at sculpture. Born on May 8, 1901 in Yugou, Huaiyin, Jiangsu Province, Professor, Central Academy of Fine Arts.

brief introduction

In 1924, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Sixth Normal University of Jiangsu Province and went back to his hometown to teach. Then he went to Shanghai Xinhua Art College to study painting.

From 1930 to 1932, he participated in the restoration of Luohan plastics in Yongzhi Tang Dynasty, Jiangsu Province.

He was admitted to Paris Higher School of Fine Arts in 1933. He was a professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and chairman of the Department of Sculpture, a member of the National Urban Sculpture Art Committee, and a director of the Chinese Artists Association.

"Reflections" won the 1943 Paris Spring Salon Gold Medal, "Mother" for the collection of the Paris Municipal Government; the round carving "Bombing" for modern French art.
