万盘根，男，汉族，1945年生于河南省扶沟县城关镇。1969年毕业于北京地方 戏剧学院舞台美术系设计专业。现为中国人民解放军空军政治部歌舞团高级美术师。系中国舞台美术学会、北京美术家协会会员、北京海峡两岸书画家联谊回理事。他的作品曾获全国国画大奖赛佳作奖及祖国万岁国画大赛金奖。虎画多次作为年画由人民美术出版社及各地出版社出版发行全国。雕塑《吉鸿昌》、《李伯钊》被纪念馆和美术馆收藏。舞台美术获全国1 等奖。出版有《万盘根画集》、《万盘根画选》多种。
