宋杰生，高级美术师，1946年5月出生，籍贯湖南，中共党员。
中国美术家协会会员、贵州省美术家协会会员、贵州油画艺术委员会会员，毕节地区美协常务理事。
前后 就学于云南艺术学院、地方 美术学院油画进修班，失从李骏、潘世勋、罗尔纯等著名油画教授。
现任高中《艺术教育》、中师《美术》电大《广告创意设计学》等课程教学。
荣获教育部颁发2000年全国学校艺术教育工作者先进个人称号。
油画作品在北京《紫禁城》画刊、香港《音乐生活》、《贵州美术》、画刊、《纪念工农红军长征60周年书画作品集》、《97全国美术教师优秀作品选》等画刊发表，并参加省、
地美术作品展多次获奖，其中那个《人工防雹》水粉组画获全国科普美展贵州展区三等奖（1979）、《人物素描》获贵州省美展优秀作品奖（1996）、《女青年》肖像素描获北京市教育零碎 迎新春美展二等奖（2000）油画《角楼印象》获中国教育学会主办2003年全国教师美术作品大赛1 等奖。
发表美术论文多篇，其中《以艺术渗透推进素质教育》获地区教育法展理论研讨会二等奖、贵州省美术教育论文交流优秀论文奖、
全国中小学素质教育论文大奖赛优秀论文奖，并入编地方 教科所、教育教育科学出版社出版《全国学校艺术教育工作先进个人论文集》和 《中国美术家论文集》传略及论文提要入编人事部中国人事出版社发行《中国专家大辞典》第十卷。
美术教学录像《水彩画特殊技法》获地区优良 课评比第一位 ，贵州省中学美术优良 课评比1 等奖、
