马晓腾，生于北京，1993年毕业于地方 美院油画系并任教于第二工作室，现为油画系副教授，硕士生导师。对马晓腾来说，描绘社会生活在人们脸上刻下的属于他们本身 的表情，是他多年来的绘画动力和艺术方向。这是什么样的表情，戒备的神态，紧怯的目光，游离的眼神，目光相遇刹那迸发出的本能……那些画面上连续无效 的细节，承载着马晓腾对人性的认识，凝聚了他对视觉记忆的理解，他用直接、朴素的方式表达了中国式的体验和存在感。尽管是他个人的，却能带领我们回到历史的现场，重新开采我们的视觉记忆。那些零散的印象，经马晓腾的开采而获得重生 。缓慢与持久的反思，使马晓腾的作品成为人性的镜鉴，成为当代中国人真实处境的见证。
